It was my pleasure to design and facilitate DwB’s 2019 design fellowship! The curriculum was rooted in the real challenges of two businesses in Kampala. The first was Fenix International a next generation energy company looking for inclusive energy and financial solutions. And second was International Medical Group, where we underwent a comprehensive research into the service offerings focusing on the customer experience and journey.
The fellows learnt about the different facets of design through hands on projects both in product and service design. They were all encouraged to develop their own design process and develop the necessary skills they need as designers.
Our team was assisted from our colleagues in Norway for one week of the fellowship, where the visiting designer shared their experience with service design project working for DesignIT. It was a great learning experience for both sides!
